More than half of women report experiencing sexism or misogyny at football matches. It’s Not Just Banter was produced in partnership with the Football Supporters’ Association (FSA) and Fans For Diversity (FFD) to underscore that the abusive language often dismissed as “banter” has real impact.

The FSA and FFD, both leaders in promoting equality throughout the football ecosystem, sought to create a film that powerfully connects the chants heard in stadiums with the lived experiences of the women affected by them.

Central to the film’s authenticity is the participation of real football supporters. By giving these women a platform to share their stories, the film amplifies their voices and delivers its message with urgency and emotional clarity.
